LATER LAMBING.

POLICY FOR FARMERS. <By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCIIURCH, Wednesday. A conferenfco of representatives of freezing companies, the Chamber of Commerce, the Meat Producers' Board and all farmers' organisations was held to-day to discuss the export of lamb. The conference came to the decision, after hearing reports from experts, that later lambing in Canterbury would be an economic advantage to farmers fattening larabs for export, as records showed that as a general rule there was an improvement in prices on the London market from April onwards, as against falliug prices from the arrival of the first shipment early in February up to Easter.
