LOCAL BODIES.
HENDERSON. f ' ' The monthly meeting of the Henderson Town Board was held on Tuesday night, when members present were Messrs. jS'oictoss (chairman), Lee, Garelja, Bussey, Hansen and Corban. The question ot bituminising the shoulders on the Great North Road was considered, and it was agreed to approach the Main Highways Board with a view of obtaining a subsidy. The Mayor of Auckland wrote that he would be pleased to receive a deputation on the question of water chargcs after the Christmas vacation. The Labour Depaitment has declined to approve ail application made on behalf ot' the local tennis club for relief workers to be employed in cleaning up the tennis court. Mr. A. Reid was given permission to cut and remove the hay on the Henderson Domain. The New Lynn relief workers were given permission to hold their annual picnic in the Falls Park on January 20.
