There is also a fair, amount pf exchanging from ' lower to higher ' yielding lines, notably Australians. It is not surprising that the market regards -a' further Australian_ conversion operation as imminent, in view of the strength of recent Empire issues. All ; these now are at a premium except India s 3% per cent, which is at 1% discount. More striking even than in gilt-edged Flocks has been the activity both in industrials and goldmining shares.
