ATHLETE INJURED.
CAR'S CAPSIZE OVER BANK. 'OLYMPIC GAMES SPRINTER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday. Injuries to the face and bruises to the chest were suffered by Mr. Stewart A. Black, of New Plymouth, a New Zealand representative at the Olympic Games, through the capsize of a car at Mahoenui, 15 miles from Piopio. A car driven by Mr. Black skidded on the metal road and fell pver a bank, coming to rest upside down overhanging the river, about a chain below the road. The car, which is owned by Mr. Keith Black, of Awakino, was extensively damaged. Mr. Stewart Black got out of the ear and climbed part of the way up to the road. He was helped the rest of the way and taken by a passing motorist to Awakino, where he was spending a holiday. It may be some time before he can re-appear on the athletic field.
