The Oamaru Jockey Club's New Year meeting was held at the Oamaru racecourse to-day in unfavourable weather, but in spite of rain the attendance for the day was on a par with that at last year's meeting'. The totalizator handled £8844, compared with £7792 last year. The track was in excellent order and was not affected by the rain.
