HOLIDAY CARNIVAL ENDS. ! I LIST OP PRIZE .WINNERS. J (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) i ROTORUA, this day. ! Fine weather favoured the conclusion of the iJotorua holiday carnival on Saturday. Old and young joined in the revel- ' ries and the town was in real carnival spirit. In the afternoon there were fancy dross competitions for children, followed by a decorated motor vehicle procession through the town and a "battle of flowers." Several thousand people were gathered at the town square in the evening, when fancy ilress competitions for adults took place. There were good entries in all the classes and several Auckland competitors gained prizes.' A procession of decorated motor vehicles, cycles, people in fancy costume arid" a large number of children carrying Chinese lanterns; headed by the Municipal Band, paraded the town during the evening. j The ceremony or dethroning King Carnt- ' val and the prize-giving were performed by the Mayor, Mr. T.
