ITALIAN AND SOVIET BANS
LONDON, December 21
The Berlin correspondent of the "Daily Express" reports that the Nazi Government's dislike of Jews is so great that newspaper editors have been forbidden to mention Bethlehem and Nazareth in Christmas articles. Radio stations have been forbidden to relay the programme, "Bells of Bethlehem," which the British Broadcasting Corporation has arranged to broadcast from Christ's birthplace on Christmas Eve. German children arc to be taught that Christ was not a Jew. In addition the Italian Government has forbidden German families in the Tyrol to use Christinas trees because that is a German custom, while the Soviet has banned all celebrations of Christmas.
