FORGERY OF BONDS.
SALESMAN FOR SENTENCE,
IMPRISONMENT FOR THEFT.
Arrested on October 10 by Detective W. Slater, a salesman named Thirlwall King Hayward, aged 33, appeared before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court this morning on a series of charges. Hayward, for whom Mr. Bryec Hart appeared, was charged with forging the name of E. Geoffrey Morgan to two transfer forms in respect of two forestry bonds on September 12, and he was similarly charged in respect of four bonds on September 10. There *vere also two charges of causing C. J. Green to act upon the bonds as if they were genuine. He was further charged with the theft of six bonds, valued at C/, the property of Morgan.. Hayward pleaded guilty to all charges. Oil the .fiieft charge he was sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment. On the other four charges, lie was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. ,
