POST FOR "SMITHY."
JOINS OIL COMPANY STAFF.
SERVICES FOR AUSTRALIA.
A cable lias. been received by the Auckland office of the Vacuum Oil Company stating that Sir Charles Kingsford Smith has joined the commercial staff of the company in Australia. The engagement is in an advisory capacity, and Sir Charles will be associated with the research chemists and engineers of the company in developmental work in connection with aviation fuel and lubricants. The appointment will not interfere with hie existing interests and activities.
As the result of the appointment the services of Sir Charles will be' retained for the benelit of Australian and New Zealand aviation.
