COLD SPELL ENDS.
WINDS FROM TASMAN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association,) WELLINGTON, this day. The centre of an anti-cyclone on the N"orth Tasman Sea is now near Norfolk Island, and the pressure is liijrh from there to the south-eastward. Over the -South Island, however, barometers have fallen rapidly with the advance across ;h j South Tasman Sea of a rather deep westerly depression. The forecast is for light to moderate •outh-westerly winds, veering gradually to west and north-west, the weather mainly fair, but with some scattered showers gradually developing, temperatures milder; seas smooth, to moderate.
