TRADE TREATY.
N.Z. AND AUSTRALIA. CHANGES IN TARIFF. OPERATE TO-MORROW. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The trade treaty recently arrived at between the New Zealand and Australian Governments will be submitted to the House this evening for ratification. Simultaneously the Commonwealth House of Representatives will be asked to ratify the agreement, which becomes effective to-morrow. Ratification of the treaty will involve the introduction this evening of Customs resolutions. While these will i>e of importance there is reason to believe that the proposed changes will not be of an extensive nature. It will be necessary for the House to ratify the treaty and pass the Customs resolutions at to-night'e sitting.
