The policy .the Government was carrying out was _the one most likely to be of greatest benefit to the.people of NewZealand, gaid the Prime Minister, the Right Hon. G. V/. Forbes, to-day, when replying to a deputation headed by Mr. J. Roberts, representing the Alliance of Labour. In a lengthy statement Mr. Roberts urged increased wage?, shorter hours, of work and controlled curr.ency as a cure for the depression.
