MOUNT ALBERT CLUB.
A full rink tournament 'was held on labour Day at the Mount -Albert bowling green, 16 teams competing. In section A Bromley, E. Thomas, Price, Wells anil Pickens tied with three wins and two losses. There was also a tie in section B, Wakerley, Mulr, Hawkc, Holdaworth and Harwell, three wins each. In the play-off Pickens and Muir won their sections, and the final game is to be played on a date to -be arranged. HAMILTON EAST CLUB. A pairs tournament was held on the Hamilton East Bowling Club's green on Labour Day. The skips' section was won bv J. Karton, with five wins. After a playoil with two others, O. R. Lewis was successful in the leads' section.
1 HELENSYILLE CLUB. A progressive pairs tournament held by the Helensville Bowling Club on Labour Day resulted: — Skips.—TV. E. Carmont, 31 wins; TV. J. Ellett, 3 wins; A. Plummer, A. Strong, 2 wins; W. Coutts, E. Smith, J. Stanaway, wins; C. Sanden, 1 win. Leads.—L. Walters, S. C. Wilson, 3 wins; J. Leonard, 2J wins; J. Llvesey, 2 wins; G. Birnie, C. Fastier, F. Mueller, 11 wins ; J. Constable. TE AWAMUTU CLUB. The Te Awamutu Bowling Club held a full-rink tournament on Labour Day, 20 teams competing, including players from many of the neighbouring clubs. S. TV. McMillan (Te Awamutu) and TV. Wilkinson (Cambridge) tied with five wins each, but McMillan's team had the best aggregate scores and was declared the winner. TE AROHA CLUB. The Te Aroha Bowling Club held its first tournament of the season on Labour Day, when progressive pairs were played by 32 players. The winners were: Skips, N. Austin, with F. Scliell runuer-up; leads, TV. Palmer, with S. Crawford runner-up. Principal results Skips.—N. Austin, 4 wins (71 points) ; F. Schell, 4 wins (07) ; F. Barnes, 4 wins (49). Leads. —W. At the Mercury Bay Bowling Club's green the following games were played:—McGlone, Lowe, Biddle 31, v. Strongman, Browne, Marley 11; Beverldge, Lyon, Wrigley 22,' v. Prescott, Streat, White 15; Wells, Sutcliffe, Reddy 22, v. Denize, Vickers, Aitchison 15; Peters, Cannon, Stevens 22, v. Banister, Coffey, Ralph 19; Minilie, Rowbotham 30, v. C. Lowe, Pownall 18. DARGAVILLE CLUB. At the Dargaville Bowling Club's green on Labour Day live rinlcs entered for the competition for the president's trophies. The winners were: Leads, F. E. Barnard; skips, F. C. Davey. Runners-up: Leads, H. Kimber; skips, D. Williams.
