N.Z. GOLF TITLE.
LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP. O. KAY AND B. GAISFORD IN FINAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. Except for a strong wind at the more exposed positions, the conditions were ideal this morning at the Belmont links for the semi-finals of the Dominion ladies' golf championship. Results:— Miss O. Kay (Otago) beat Mrs. D. Stout (Wellington), 7 and 6. Miss B. Gaisford (Marton) beat Miss Currie (Wanganui), 7 and 6. Both games proved one-sided, and, strange to say, both were won at the twelfth hole. Miss Gaisford's experience told the tale in her match with Miss Currie, the Bulmont champion, and she won easily, after being six up at the turn. Miss Kay showed a return to her best form in her match with Mrs. Stout. She was two over bogey on the outward journey, but when the game ended on the twelfth she was equal to bogey, and she registered "birdies" at the iirst, tenth and eleventh holes.
