"BASELESS RUMOUR."
UNREST IN H.M.S. HOOD,
The following message has been received by the senior naval oflicer at Auckland from the Admiralty: —
"Tlie attention of the Admiralty has been directed to certain rumours of unrest in H.M.s. Hood, which have been given prominence in a newspaper. Their lordships desire to state that these rumours are an entire fabrication. They greatly regret they should be forced to make this denial of a baseless rumour' reflecting on a splendid ship's company."
