AMERICAN LABOUR.
Opposed to Inflation and N.R.A. Policies. RELIEF FOR WORKLESS. (Received 2 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 12. The American Federation of Labour approved resolutions to-day opposing inflation and declaring that it will bring "the greatest possible harm" to the wage earners. They criticised some policies of the N.R.A., demanding more labour representation on N.R.A. boards and committees, also asking for adequate unemployment relief this winter. One resolution urged that President Roosevelt restore the salary reductions to Government workers at the earliest possible time. NO PROVISION MADE. AUSTRALIA'S DEBT TO BRITAIN. (Received 10.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, this day. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, in the House of Representatives, stated that no provision was being made for a resumption of the payment of interest and sinking fund on the war loan to Britain. t
