"In a Little Second-hand Store" waft indeed a feature number played by Mr. Lauri Paddi and his orcliestra at the Peter Pan Cabaret on Saturday evening, when crowds of "Auckland's dance enthusiasts were present. Smart frocking was a particular attraction, as many of the new checked organdie and plaid taffetas were worn. Among those present were: Mrs. G. Heuriek, who wore opal shaded taffeta; Mrs. Seville Bonham, blue e-haded georgette; Mrs. H. Ward, autumn tinted chiffon; Mrs. G, Henderson, gold lame; Miss J. Roberts, white frilled organdie; Miss Betty Wilson, cherry organdie; Miss Annette George, powder blue taffeta; Miss W. BarnesGrahame (Gisborne). gold figured lame; Miss Marie Conlan, purple satin; Mies J. Gillespie, black go-orgette; Miss O. Jenkins, peach shaded lace; Miss Betty Colwill, lavender taffeta; Miss Mere Vaile, powder pink georgette; Miss Lorna Reyburn, mist grey georgette.
