NIAGARA OVERHAULED.
RESUMPTION OF SERVICE.
The R.M.s. Niagara, which has been under survey at Sydney since August 11, will resume from that port in the Vancouver service on October 12. Extensive alterations and improvements have been effected in the first, cabin and third-class accommodation and public rooms. Talkie picture apparatus has been installed in -the first-class lounge, a special cabin having been constructed at the fore end of the room for the projector. Additional seating accommodation has been provided in the lounge, making it possible for a larger number of passengers to be seated for the picture entertainments. If necessary, the cinematograph projector can be moved to the cabin class deck for the purpose of showing pictures there. The firstclass accommodation ' has been extensively renovated, and the upholstery reconditioned. Special attention has been given to the ca;bin-class accommodation. In the dining saloon the long tables have been removed, and in their place small tables of various sizes have been introduced, so that now it is possible to allot separate tables to parties of 8, 6, 4 or 2. The ladies' lounge has been refurnished with comfortable chairs upholstered, in attractive shades of green and pink.
