The Moscow correspondent of the "Manchester Guardian" states that in order to attract the transit traffic of Europe to the Near East, the Soviet has lowered the fares on the transSiberian railway for foreigners by 50 per cent, with further rebates for parties of 25. The first-class fare from the Polish border to Manchuria is at present £36.
