COCOA TOFFEE.

(Sent in by Frances Pilcber. Beach Haven, Birkenhead, N. 5.) Ingredients: 1 cupful sugar, 1 or 2 tablespoonfuls cocoa, 2 tablespoonfuls butter, 2 tablespoonfuls golden syrup, 1 dessertspoonful vinegar or 1 lemon, and a pinch of salt. Method: Place butter and golden syrup in pot to boil, add other ingredients and' boil quickly for about 10 minutes until a little tried in cold water hardens. Pour into a wellbuttered tin and allow to cool.
