WANGANUI ON TOP.
Victory Over Record Field in 47-Mile Event. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this (lay. The -17-mile amateur cycle race from Wanganui to Palmerston North was held this afternoon. The event was regarded as the final test for the Palmerston NorthWellington race, which is to be held later in the season. Tiiere was a record number of competitors and keen interest was taken in to-day's event. Results were: E. Danielson (20.0), Wanganui, 1; C. Loveridge (17.0), Wanganui, 2; H. Anderson (17.0), Wanganui, 3.
