AFTER BATHING.
Salt water dims the colour of fair hair, and sea-bathing may cause the hair to be lank and lose its gloss. Always rinse the hair in fresh water after every bathe, unless, of course, a watertight cap has been worn. In any case, the salt in the air makes tlio hair sticky and colourless, and a rinse every three or four days is required. It is unnecessary to use soap, as a rinse in warm, soft water will eail-v away the salt. Dry by rubbing briskly with a rough towel. Salt on the skin induces painful sunburn, so the face should be rinsed in rain water.after the bathe or cleansed with lotion. Some women rub in a very little olive oil before bathing, to prevent the sea water from touching the skin.
