OBITUARY.
MR. JOHN BRADY.
An old and esteemed resident of Otahuhu, Mr. John Brady, died ia u, Auckland Hospital. lie was the son nf the late Mr. James Brady, of Prin Street, Otahuhu, an early pioneer of th* district, who farmed an original Crown grant*of 20 acres of land on the bJS of the Tamaki River. Mr. John Brad was born in Otahuhu 71 years ago *11 from an early age was very keenly in terested in sport and local body wort" For over 20' years he was a member of the old Road Board, and when a borou&i, was formed in 1912 he was one of th first councillors, and for one term acted as deputy-Mayor. He retired from th« council in 1025. Deceased was also member of the Otahuhu Trotting Club and for a number of years sat on th« Licensing Committee.
