PRINTERS' SOCIAL.
The Auckland Master Printers' Association and the Auckland Printers' Guild hold <i social gathering on Saturday evening. Mr. E. Aldridge, president of the / Master Printers' Association, presided, and the toast of the association was proposed by Mr. W. G. Somerville, president of the Auckland Printers' Guild, who referred to the excellent work being done by such organisations in stabilising the industry, in conducting Arbitration Court work, and in bringing together brother craftsmen. Mr. G. Clark, who replied, spoke in appreciative terms of the personal work of Mr. A. Pennison, president of the New Zealand Master Printers' Federation. In proposing the toast of the Auckland Printers' Guild. Mr. Aldridge commented on President Roosevelt's fair trade code as it applied to printers. Tli.c secretary of the guild. Mr. T. Walsli, respondend. Entertainment was given during the evening by Messrs. IT. Richards, D. Lnnney, F. J. Dawson, D. Flood i and "Kardo."
