ATHENIAN CLUB.
The Operatic Society's rooms were ; transformed with decorations on Satur- ■ day evening, when a carnival night was ' arranged hy Misses Ada Owen and Mary ' Dillon as joint hostesses. The entertainment opened with a tambourine dance, given by Misses Mardi Brooke and Gwen Atkins, which was followed by musical and vocal numbers rendered 1 by Madame Towsey, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Day, and Mr. Stanley Knight. Ajnong those present were: Mesdames C. Munroo Emanuel, Clifton Lewis, B. Kissen, W. Curtis, A. J. Don, C. L. Crump, Tremlctt, A. Roberts, Baghurst, H. Clarke, Ronnie Stone, G. E. Allcock, A. Jaques, Hannah, C. Anderson, W. Deverson, A. J. Elliott, J. Dean, Misses Laura Walker, Kathleen Cooper, I. Farrcll, Peggy Davies, O. Buchanan, Titchmarsh, E. Colcman, K. Quiiin, Edna Craig, Gladys Melville, Hazel Rainey, J. Richmond, I. Roget, Hannah, T. Quinn, M. Smith, M. Miller, J. Buchanan and Baghurst.
