VARIED CHARGE-SHEET.
TO-DAY'S POLICE COURT.
Not for many years has the chargesheet at the Police Court been so varied as wae the case this morning. Of the dozen prisoners who appeared before the magistrate, two — a man and a woman—were charged with murder, a man and a woman were charged with offences, but after examination by doctors -were certified insane and consigned to the Mental-Hospital, and there were two escaped convicts who had been recaptured. In addition there were the usual week-end "drunks," two men charged with vagrancy, and one or two with theft. A charge of manslaughter againet a motorist (who did not appear) was adjourned. Another man was dealt with for forgery of a time-eheet.
