WHEAT GROWING.
PROGRESS IN MOROCCO.
Morocco Avas among tlie countries visited by Mr. D. B. Ferguson, an Australian business man, a through passenger by the Monoivai, who has completed a nine months' world, tour. He said his object was to observe what was taking place in the growing of wheat. Morocco was making rapid strides, and large areas were being cropped by Arabs and by French, colonists. "I expected to find a desert," he said, "but was surprised at the fertility of the land 011 the Mediterannean. The desert is 1000 miles to the south of where I was. Morocco is held by France under mandate, and the same methods are being used as in Algeria in bringing wheat growing to perfection."
