OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUB.
THE ANNUAL MEETING. j SOUND FINANCIAL POSITION. There was a large attendance at the iramual meeting of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club, "which was hold on Thursday evening. Mr. P. E. Brennan presided. The balance-sheet showed the club to ibe in a sound financial position. The assets ■were shown at £18,941, including a net profit on the year'fl operations of £786. Liabilities totalled £442. Stake-money for the last meeting totalled £2819, and Government taxation amounted to £3415, less a refund of £409. The chairman reported that arrangements had been made to conduct for the Taumarunui Racing Club its annual two•day race meeting on the Paeroa racecourse <oii October 26 and 2S. The net profits •of the meeting would so to the Taumaruaaui Club. Seven nominations were received for Jour vacancies on the committee, and the jfbllowinff were elected:—Messrs. M. Crimanins, H. It. Bueh, T. P. Vuglar and J. J.' Barnett. A.resolution- lyas passed requesting the incoming committee to take immediate l (Steps to have a niembere' stand erected.
