NEW RAILWAY.
STRATFORD LINE. PASSENGER SERVICES. COMMENCEMENT ON SUNDAY. The new Stratford-Okahukura railway will be opened for regular traffic next Sunday, and special cars will be attached to the Limited express which leaves at 7.0 p.m. The time-table for •the passenger services is as follows: Departure rrom Auckland at 7.0 p.m. on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; and from Taumarumii at 12.45 a.m., to arrive at New Plymouth at 0.1 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. From New Plymouth a train will leave at 7.10 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from Taumarunui at 12.50 a.m., from Stratford at 8.31 p.m., arriving at Auckland at 7.6 a.m. the next day. The additional loading of the Limited express has been made possible by use of the new "K" engines, which will be able to maintain the ordinary express schedule notwithstanding the fact that additional cars will be attached.
