NOT QUITE SO BUSY. MINING STILL ACTIVE. WAIHIS AT £1 6/3. At a fairly quiet call this morning the mining section attracted most interest. Waibis, with a late sale last evening at £1 6/3, touched a new high level. At the fresh bidding they were in demand at £1 6/, with holders asking 6d more. Alexanders were a little easier, with sellers at £1 -/■ Buyers for Blaekwaters dropped their offers to £1 15/, hut holders stood firm at £1 18/6. There was more bidding in the banking division, but no marked changes in values New Zealands were in steady demand at £2 8/0. The insurance section was very firm at late rates. • Recent interest in New Zealand Breweries was not sustained, and with sellers at £1 18/9 there were no buyers. The Noon Call. There was fair business during the morning, and Waihis had another sale at £1 6/3' New Zealand Refrigerating (eon.) were in demand, and after a sale at 8/8 were still asked for at 8/6.
