DICKENS FELLOWSHIP.
The Auckland Dickens Fellowship held their fortnightly meeting last evening, the president, Mrs. Kenneth Gordon, presiding. Sir. H. C. Robinson was in charge of the programme, which dealt with the French Revolution. The following readings were given: "The Sea Still Rises," Miss Chalmers; "The Fire Rises," Mr. T. Clarkson; "The Mender of Roads," Rev. C. E. Perkins; "The Conflagration Spreads." Mr. D. Neal; "Gabelle's Appeal to the Marquis," Mr. F. S. Townley Little; "Drawn to the Loadstone Rock." Mr. W. E. Arev.
