ROYAL FASHIONS.
The Prince of Wales is well known for his courage in defying; dress conventions, and people are wondering whether his example in wearing; a bright blue shirt with his pale grey morning coat at the Royal garden party will be followed. The King himself supplied an innovation on that occasion by wearing a white tie with a grey frock coat. Ex-King Alfonso does a good deal of shopping in London, but when he was in a West End men's shop recently, he remarked to the Duke de Miranda. "I shall not buy a hat, as I have one already." He nearly always appears in the same brown felt hat with a wide brim. He buys most of his notepaper, visiting cards, ties, collars and socks in London. His visiting cards, by the way, remarks a correspondent, boar the name "Duke of Toledo" and not "King Alfonso.'■'-, ■ -.■ ■• -• '■ ■ "'
