BOXING.
HUGHES-PETRIE BOUT. CHANGE OF DATE. The boxing bout arranged by the Auckland Boxing Association between Archie Hughes, of Auckland, and Billy Petrie, of California, has been arranged to take place at the Town Hall on Monday, September 11, not Wednesday, September 13, as first decided.
NORTHLANDERS FOR BLENHEIM.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this clay. The North Auckland team for the New Zealand amateur boxing championships, to be held at Blenheim on September 7, S, and 9, will leave by the express on Monday. The team comprises:—M. Rika, heavy-weight; L. Dwyer, middle-weight; Mel. Painter, light-weight; B. Martin, welter; M. Hughes, fly-weight. The team will be accompanied by 11. Scally as manager. Mr. W. Beehre, patron of the association, and Messrs. \V. Griffiths and J. Baird, trainers, will also make the trip.
