TALISMAN DUBBO.
The Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines, Limited, Karangahake, has treated 25 tons lewt of ore from the Maria reef at No. 1 Talisman level, the battery heads assaying £5 5/10 a ton (gold valued at £4 an oz). The construction of the aerial ropeway from No. 1 Talisman level to the County Road is now in hand, and it is anticipated that a dailv output from the Maria reef will be maintained after the aerial is completed. Work will also be started shortly iu the completion of rise from No. 1 Talisman to the Talisman Dubbo level, 115 feet above, by which means a large body of ore will be available from the Maria reef.
