The proposal to raise £125,000 in 1/ shares to mine me lvawarau River has been lurtlier adv.anced by Amalgamated Kawarau Company and tne statutory meeting of shareholders is to be held in Dunedin iu three weeKs time. The company proposes to erect a new dam below the junction o£ the Arrow and Kawarau Rivers, as recommended by Processor Hornell. A prospectus will bo issued immediately the increase of the company's capital is authorised by shareholtlers of the present company. If the notation is successful the total capital of the company will be £$>0,000.
