dr. campbeix begg in north (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, this day. \ crowded hall greeted Dr. Campbell Beg" last night, when he expounded the principles and aims of the New Zealand Legion. He was given an excellent heariuff. Dealing with the unemployment question, the speaker said that with a, qi l3 - 1 " ter of the population living in cast-off clothes, lacking the necessities of life and waiting for those in a better position to reach a hand out and pull them out of their distress, New Zealanaers were in a, fair way to lose tlieir selfrespect. At the conclusion of the meeting questions were answered, and a number of those present signified their intention of becoming members of the legion. A branch was formed.
