LOAN REDEMPTION.
AUCKLAND DRAINAGE BOARD The maturing of the Auckland Drainage Board's No. 3 loan of £100,000 on March 15 of next year was "notified to the board by the engineer-secretary, Mr. H.. 11. Watkins, at last night's meeting. The loan was raised in London at 4A per cent. Mr. Watkins reported that the amount of the accumulated sinking fund which would become payable by the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board's commissioners, in respect of the loan, was estimated not to exceed £IS,OOO. Arrangements would have to in due course for the redemption loan, which would be required to provide for the payment of outstanding liability at the date of maturity of the loan. The matter was referred to the legal and finance committee.-'
