FURTHER CHARGE.
TWO MEN REMANDED. John Edwin Lester, aged 30, grocer, and Allan Walter Adams, 24, storeman, who were rearrested after being bailed on another charge, following " their appearance in the Police Court on Saturday morning, appeared before Mr. W. R.. McKean, S.M., this morning on a further charge of stealing jam and cornflour, of the total value of £1 10/9, the property of Irvine and Stevenson, Ltd. Mr. Lennard appeared for Lester and Mr. Matthews for Adams. On the application of DetectiveSergeant O'Sullivan, both men were remanded until September 4. Each was bailed in a. surety of £50,
