FATAL EXPLOSION.
,_ I RELIEF WORKER'S DEATH. BODY FOUND AT ONEWHERO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TUAKAU, this day. A Yugoslav, Ivan Sokolic, aged 44, a relief worker at Onewhero for the last nine "months, died as the result of an explosion of gelignite early this morning. He had been living in New Zealand for the last nine years, and his wife and three daughters reside in Yugoslavia. He left three letters, written in his native language, one addressed to Constable C. Robb, of Tuakau, another to the Chief Postmaster of Auckland, and the third to his wife. Two fellow workers were about to have breakfast when Sokolic went out the back door of the bach which they occupied. They heard an explosion and found the body 100 yards away. An inquest will be opened to-morrow.
