WHIPPET RACING.
AUCKLAND CLUB. Under ideal conditions the winter meeting of the Auckland Whippet Racing Club was held at Sturgess Park on Saturday. The chief event on the programme was the Otaliuhu Cup, won by Prince Pedro, who also won the Farewell Hurdles. The results of the events are as follow :— Otahuhu Cup.—First heat: E. J. Uobson's Bell Fern, OJyds, and G. George's Lady Luck, 12Jyds, dead-heat, 1. Time, Bs. Second heat: W. Dyer's Bonny Argyle, lljyds, 1; J. Avery's Prince Pedro, BJyds. 2. Time, 8 l-ss. Third heat: G.
