SWALLOWED COINS.

YOUNG CAMBRIDGE MAORI. (From Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. The statement that after his arrest and while he was walking to the police station a young Maori had swallowed four coins, including three florins and a shilling piece, was made by Constable A. Dod, when Frank Woods was charged with stealing £1 7/3 from a widow. Accused pleaded guilty and was admitted to probation for two years.
