WELLINGTON RAID.

THIRTY MEN ARRESTED. GAMING HOUSE CHARGES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) this day. A simultaneous raid was carried out by a party of police yesterday afternoon on five houses in Taranaki Street, where it was suspected that pakapon was being played. The police made a flean,: sweep of every house, arresting 30 men, nine of them Chinese and the remainder Europeans. They will appear in the Police Court to-morrow morning.
