PASTURE FARMING.
NEW ZEALAND CONFERENCE. SPEECH BROADCAST FROM BED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Experts in pasture fanning from all parts of the Dominion met to-day for the first annual conference of the Xew Zenland Grasslands Association. Dr. E. Marsden, head of the Department of Scientific Research, presided in the absence, through illness, of the president, Mr. A. H. Cockayne, whose address was broadcast from Iris bed in Wellington to members in the conference room. The delegates were welcomed by Dr. J. Hight, "rector of Canterbury Colleare, who. stressed the'.importance- of maintaining the productivity of Dominion lands. ;Dr. Marsden then addressed the delegates. i ■ : • . <
