TROOPS IN ACTION.
British Column Engages Indian Warring Tribesmen. ENEMY FORCED BACK. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12.40 p.m.) RUGBY, August 14. The Peshawar column of British troops, which was sent to aid the Halimzai tribesmen who were attacked on Saturday morning by the Baezai group of Upper Mohmands, made contact with the enemy late on Saturday and compelled them to withdraw. The enemy casualties are not yet known. One British soldier and an Indian sepoy were wounded.
