ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
BADGES AND APPOINTMENTS. Cadet proficiency badges have been granted to four members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade in the Auckland district, who have qualified for them by obtaining certificates in four of tlie subjects laid down in the curriculum of training for cadets. The lads referred to and the subjects in which they passed arc as under:— Auckland Cadet Ambulance Division. — Cadet A. J. Millar, home nursing, preliminary hygiene, fire fighting, signalling; Cadets A. ft. Hammer and H. J. Manning, preliminary hygiene, swimming and life-saving, fire fighting, signalling. Hamilton Cadet Ambulance Division.— Cadet N. St. Gore, clerical ability, homecraft, public service, nature study. The formation of the following new cadet divisions has been approved by the chief commissioner for the Dominion: — Auckland Grammar School Cadet Ambulance Division and Western Springs Cadet Nursing Division. The appointment of the following brigade officers in the Auckland district: —Thames: Ernest V. Martin, sergeant; Percy Trebilcock, corporal. Tauranga: Reeve Youngman, sergeant and secretary; William Thomas, corporal, treasurer and storekeeper. Otahiihu Railway: Cedric J. Sainmons, secretary.
