AUCKLAND TEAM CIIOSEX. Tlio solo selector, Mr. A. E. Backhouse, has experienced considerable difficulty in the selection of his team, to travel to Otajro to play the reps, of that province for the F.A. trophy, held by the latter, owing to the -inability of players to make the journey and to the fact that Ponsonby will be play ins the final tie for the Chatham Cup at Wellington on the same date. He has chosen the following players, who will meet for training at Blandford l'nrk 011 Tuesday evening, and from which the final selection will be made:—Cowie (Y.M.C.A.), H. Stone and K. Stone (Glen Innes), Watson (Thistle), Christie (Trams, captain), Thornes (Y.M.C.A.), Jones (Trams); Glaister (Glen Innes), Dunsinoro (Thistle), Spencer (Trams), Hislop and Kay (Thistle). JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES. The following players have been chosen by Mr. G. C. Ballantyne, sole selector, to train for the team to play for the Flyger Cup, a trophy donated for players under 21 years of age in the Auckland Province : Birchall (Onetiunga), Laurence, Holdsworth, Angus (Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys), Speed, C. Flyger, Dallimore, Cleal (Metro-College), Barry, Mullane (Tamaki), Darwin (Glen Innes), IJobinson (North Shore), Yearbury, Fearon. C. Ilayward, A. Ilayward (Comrades). The above players will meet at the Y.M.C.A. next Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock for coaching by Mr. A. P. Neesham. The Auckland team will piay South Auckland, home and home, on dates to be arranged.
