HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.
A satisfactory.report of the.past years activities of the Onehunga branch ol the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary was presented at the annual meeting held last week in the Provincial Chambers. Mrs. ,E. A. i Kidd, who preI sided, congratulated the branch upon the able manner in which the work had been carried on. The annual report referred to the general spirit of- willingness and «ood wtll which had largely accounted for the results achieved. Members of the sewing committee Jiad visited the Epsom Infirmary regularly to mend and darn. During the year 50 new books had been added to the infirmary library, costing £3, a large number having been donated, together with some magazines. Members of the library committee hadattended the infirmary periodically to distribute these. Appreciation of the ~ood services rendered by many musical friends in entertaining the inmates was recorded, and also of those private car owners, who had so generously taken inmates for drives. " The treasurer reported that the yeai started with a credit balance of £100, and closed with a credit of £9o 2/8, after expending £01 19/7. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, and a comprehensive vote of thanks accorded to all friends for their'help. The followin" officers were elected: President, Mrs. T J. G. Xeill; vice-presidents, Mesdames A*. Shaw and E. Wrigley; secretary, Mrs. W. Kirkham; treasurer, Mrs. H. S. Patterson; conveners of sub-committees, finance, the president; sewing, Mrs. A. Shaw; library, Mrs. W. T. Yeatman and Mrs. E. Wrigley; visiting, Mrs. S. Barnes; entertainment, Mrs. H. Wathew.
