SUCCESSFUL YEAR.
ROYAL LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY.
•The annual report of the Eoyal Lifesaving Society, to be presented at a meeting next Wednesday, refers to the fine work done by the Teachers' Trainin"- College in obtaining 583 passes in life-saving. The highest number of passes for secondary and high schools was obtained by the Diocesan High School with 33 passes, Takapuna Grammar School coming a close second with 31 passes after many years of heading the list. The affiliation was welcomed with great pleasure of the Girl Guides' Association, Marist Bros.' College, Brown's Bay Surf Club, Birkenhead Swimming Club and the Milford Girls' Surf Club. The girls' team was to be congratulated on its efficiency. It is the only ladies' team of life-savers in New Zealand.
