WEEK-END ACCIDENTS.
TWO BROKEN LIMBS,
A severe scalp wound was received by Hugh George Kcnncrley, aged 18, of Great South Road, Manurewa, as a result of a fall from his cycle early on Saturday evening while he was riding at Karaka. Dr. P. E. Cross, of Papakura, attended the injured youth, after which he was transferred to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. His condition is not serious.
A five-year-old girl, Betty Davern, received head injuries when she was knocked down by a motor car near the home of her parents, Mr. and i Mrs. "W. R. Davern, in Esplanade Eoad, Mount Eden, on Saturday afternoon. She was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. Her condition is reported to be satisfactory.
Through falling at his home at 2, Warwick Street, Mount Eden, Mr. John Gunson, aged 53, fractured his right leg. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance.
When he was thrown from his horse on Saturday afternoon, Mr. John Slater, aged 07, of Eskdale Road, Birkdale, suffered a fracture of the thigh, and was taken to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is not'serious.
