QUIET ANNIVERSARY.
NAZIS AND THE REPUBLIC. (Received 1 p.m.) BERLIN, August 11. The anniversary of the inauguration of the Republican Constitution at Weimar after the war, passed quietly in marked contrast to former years. The Nazis made no attempt to ban the celebration, although they indicated that it would be ,unwelcome. .With the arrest of Wilhelm Jacnecke, ex-Governor of the Uslar district and son-in-law of ex-President Ebert, all the male members of the Ebert family are now in custody. The Prussian Ministry of the Interior has expropriated the estate, buildings and plant of the former publishers of "Vorwaerts."
